5 Tips to Declutter Your Mountain House Home Daily

Mountain House Woman Decluttering Her HomeA cluttered home can end up becoming a source of extreme burden and frustration as a renter. However, the process of decluttering a home can seem like a never-ending battle with your stuff. Instead of just moving things around, experts suggest applying a few specific strategies to help you declutter your home a little bit every day. In reality, by following these five simple suggestions, you may just free your Mountain House home from clutter for good.

1.  Start Small

Making an effort to declutter your whole house at the same time is a sure way to get exhausted – and for nothing to change. Instead, start small. Set aside 5 or 10 minutes every day and focus on removing clutter from a single area. Over some days, you will notice a real difference in the amount of clutter in your house.

2.  Give Unused Items Away

A great deal of us has unused items that are merely taking up space in our homes and closets. Try choosing just one item to give away each day. That will add up to 365 items in a year. To figure out which items to keep and which you could donate, try this simple trick: turn all of your hangers in the reverse direction. As you wear each item, turn the hangers back the correct way. After a few months, gather up everything you haven’t worn and donated them.

3.  Use a Trash Bag

If you’re ready for more of a challenge, you could try the trash bag approach. To do this strategy, get a large trash bag and start by checking all over the house, looking for items you don’t use or need. Quickly stuff the bag as with those that you feel is not useful then donate the items or give them away.

4.  Create a Decluttering Checklist

Decluttering your home each day is a lot better when you have clearly defined tasks. Even better, you can follow through your development by crossing off each item you go along. Using a checklist like this one, focus on decluttering a little bit at a time, for just a few minutes per day.

5.  Use the Box Method

One method to declutter an area fast is to use the box method. Get several boxes and label them with terms like Keep, Give Away, Trash, or Re-Locate. Going one room at a time, take each item in the room and place it into one of the boxes. Don’t stop until every single item is in a box. Then follow through by donating, re-locating, or throwing away the items in the corresponding box. One more manner to do this method is to have baskets belonging to each member of the household. As the baskets are filled up, that person must then put their items away in their proper places every day. In these ways, you can declutter your entire house one box or basket at a time.

No matter which decluttering tip you begin with, by using them, it is possible to get the clutter in your house under control and keep it to a minimum every day.
